Summoning through a mirror

Good day and blessed be to you all. It took quite a while until my registration was approved, so while I am new here, I have been reading through this forum for a while. Long enough to have forgotten how I found it, even.

Now, before I start asking, I am aware what risks and dangers exist when summoning the deceased or to put it more precisely, with seances.

Me and my closest friend have used the witchboard multiple times before throughout the last 2 years, so we are not without experience. Recently she started telling me about summoning through a mirror. Kind of like the Bloody Mary-thing.
We would like to join or at least consult a coven, but such a thing does not exist near us. You see, we live in a small countryside area in Bavaria, Germany. And religion is pretty much a dead topic here. No one cares about nature and spirituality (which makes me sad, on a side note). I found my way to Wicca not so long ago (blessed be Youtube) and as many suggested there, I imported Silver RavenWolf's Ultimate Book of Shadows for the New Generation: Solitary Witch. I was actually quite surprised by many of your opinions regarding her, since I really loved that book.

Long story short, you are the very best source of trustworthy information I have. So I am asking you, if anyone here knows anything about summoning deceased or other entities (only good ones of course, circle shall keep bad away) through a mirror, I would be deeply grateful. Any information is highly appreciated.

I've heard that it's possible to see the dead by setting up mirrors in front and behind you, and place a third mirror that reflects from the mirror behind you; you need to be able to see from the third mirror anyone that would be walking up behind you.

well there is magick tool know as scrying mirror and yes one could use the mirror to see or speak with one who is dead. There some rules / steps to follow when making a scry mirror which vary on tradition. But once the mirror is made one can use it to call on a spirit. it easier to do with a person you know or one you have a picture of the person you wish to speak with.

Practicing without being well educated is not something I personally would recommend, especially when it comes to Ouija.  If that book is the only reference you have, I'd suggest you do a bit of reading before you continue with anything.  As they say, we ARE the people of the library, so read, read, read!  It can be difficult to get a hold of books sometimes, especially when you are remote, but there are ways and at the very least, there are many websites with much information available.  Silver RavenWolf is just not a trusted name in the community anymore, I'm afraid.

We knew that it was dangerous and/or at least risky from the beginning, so we asked people with experience, googled, followed links on the internet (without finding any notes pointing towards Wicca, I might add to be a little awkward. I would think that when thoroughly researching Ouija one would at least find the word Wicca) and so on. Like I said, we know what we're doing when it comes to Witchboarding, and nothing has happened since we started using it. What I feel we know not enough of is using mirrors, or scrying mirrors. And until I know enough, I will not even bother trying. I don't want to open up ways for evil entities and events.

Ahhh, well then, you are a couple of the few that did it the right way.    I hope you took no offense - I only worried for your safety, as I do for all those new to the way.  If you're interested in scrying, do the same thing: research, protect yourself, and give it a shot.  I wish you luck!

This may be too late, but using a mirror is a very effective tool for opening a doorway through the veil. That said, it acts as a door way, meaning anything can come through as well as be pulled through. without the proper circles and spells of protection you could be unleashing who knows what, and like wise, you may yourself end up somewhere you are not prepared for. I have only been using mirrors for the last 14 years, give or take, and I still remember my first time I used it to cross the veil. It is an awakening experience to say the least. I had help in developing my double circle of protection (one of sulfur and one of salt) and with the spells to protect me physically and my mind. know this, you can't unsee what you have seen and you can't unlearn what you learn. so unless you are truly ready for it, I recommend you not try using a mirror for summoning anything.

A different version of a Scrying mirror is a bowl of water with some ink in it. It's advantage is that every time you use fresh water you have a new window / gate and dumping the water clears the window.

Could you give me any tips or instructions so I too could reach beyond the veil? I've been meditating, practicing, visualizing, praying and neither my inner eye nor my perception skills have improved. I know, patience is required and I do have it. I just fear that I might do something wrong, given you can do something wrong rather than doubt in it, which is what I am doing... Tis complicated...

Inner Eye and psychic perception are linked to the universe through your subconscious. So whatever you do to improve that relationship ( conscious to subconscious ) will improve your perceptions and also your magic. In the past people have tried to use force and deliberately inflicted pain on themselves to control the subconscious. It Did Not Work Well. Cooperation is safer and more effective.

How do you wish to reach across the veil, are you simply wanting to see certain spirits or beings, or are you wanting to cross the veil entirely and bring other beings through the veil? Either way If you have been working hard to accomplish any of it and have yet been able to, then my friend, you simply are not ready. It all takes time, practice, patience, a clear mind and a calm state of being. Continue with meditation and prayer.
