Summoning through a mirror

Don't really have much experience in necromancy besides messing around with Ouija boards when I was a teenager, but do know things can "come through" with mirrors. Our coven covers up any mirror in whatever room we're in with a black cloth before a circle, as I do myself anytime I'm doing work in a room with one personally. It was even part of an Irish folk tradition that all mirrors were covered up when the body of the deceased was kept at home for the wake. During the wake all mirrors were covered up, and only occasionally briefly unveiled to let spirit on the other side "see" family.

Therefore we mostly avoid these things for circle, but if it is your intention, then a mirror would be proper. My wife attends a Spiritualist Church where the communicate with those in the spirit world, but it's a form of medium-ship gained from psychic development classes including meditation and other exercises. If that's of interest, you could try looking  into Spiritualism as well?

I don't really want to see anything specific. I also don't seek to summon anything here. I mostly wish to feed my curious mind and simply 'experience' knowledge. That desire goes beyond the Ouija board or the mirror. Sometimes I try meditating and focusing on my mirror in dim light, but I cleansed my Ouja Board and put it into the basement. I felt the more I used it, the more... well,... pushy... the visitors became. So I decided: "Better safe than sorry" before anything goes wrong.
