My current altar is a wooden dresser. It's good sized and there is space for all the stuff I need. Only thing I don't like is it's location, too easy access for my cats. They like to "re organize" it way to often
I love it that I have permanent altar now. Years I had to hide it and take it out again when needed, I love having my atlar open in sight.
