Hello everyone.
My name is Azriel. I suppose this is the part where I'm supposed to introduce myself to the class... where to begin?

I'm a young man from Australia who has always found solace in the earth from all of the world's artificial drama and restrictions. When I was younger I would go hide for hours in a swamp near my home, only because it was the closest thing I had to a lively thriving forest. I would lay on the grass like a stone until finally a rabbit would approach me of its own accord... there is no more beautiful feeling than the heartbeat of the earth itself against your back, and the breathing of a wild rabbit against your cheek.

I study eclectic Paganism, not exactly eclectic Wicca but close. I use Runes and Sigils, Glyphs, any kind of symbol and I weave them together. I believe the Gods are capable of reading any language, as their own pure language transcends all of ours. One alphabet may not have exactly what I need while another will; but the Gods can comprehend it all, so long as it is put together properly. As such I use a lot of arcane circles. I can spend hours drawing the perfect circle, whether it is as small as the palm of my hand and only meant to be placed under a candle, or as large as the entire floor of my casting room so I can lose myself in the symbols.

Sadly I am solitary. I have tried covens before, but... sometimes the desires of the many outweigh the morals of the few.
I'll put it this way. I will pull the plow to farm the land, but I refuse to lend my strength to a hand clutching a dagger.

So that's me. I identify with the word "Witch", so please don't take offense if I drop that word here and there.
I mean no offense to anyone.

We're glad to have you here, make yourself at home.  You'll find an abundance of information here on ALL kinds of things!  So if you start to dig into the older posts, make sure you have a glass of water and a Snickers bar... you'll be here awhile, lol  Wink

I use Runes as well (a little anyway, I'm kinda new yet), and I totally agree with what you said about the Gods being able to read Sigils, Glyphs and Runes.  After all, they mean different things according where you place them and what you place them next to anyway.  It's the intent behind them that directs the meaning, IMO.
