I am new at this he-he, and well I was wonder if anyone knows any good beginner wicca book. Since I am 12 years old I am a Solitary Wiccan, and I follow the Hellenic branch, Greek pantheon Tongue, I was going to get a book I forgot the title but it was something like English Magic Book, and it had numerology for magic names and I was going to buy it but it was $34 D: and then I saw Sliver Ravenwolf but no one here likes here. So any good newbies book  017  17 (P.S my dad doesn't really like wicca so nothing to give him a heart attack plz)
Thank you and Bless you all Cheesy

Of the top of my head, I can't really think of an exact title, but I suggest books by Scott Cunningham. He has written some books specifically to help solitary witches. His writing is very comprehensive, gives many great ideas on how to celebrate sabbats without having to erect a full altar, and, just overall, he's just an interesting author.

But yeah, I would suggest Cunningham, or Raymond Buckland.

Just remember, being solitary, you have the freedom to chose what you want to do. If something doesn't feel right, even if an author says it's the right way to do it, tweek it until it becomes natural. Just because someone published their words, that doesn't mean their way is the only way. Take what you read and consider it, and compare. Eventually, you'll find or create a system that works perfectly for youself.

Good luck, and don't worry about the dad thing. Remember he's your father and he has your best interest in mind, even if you think he's being unfair or ignorant. If he asks you not to buy the books, hold rituals in the house, or in any other way practice the religion, obey him. Respect his house, and him. There's always ways of gaining knowledge without a book, a teacher, or with anyone even noticing.

For someone in your shoes I'd highly recommend A Witch Alone by Marian Green. I think you can even find it in pdf if you put it into Google.

The Hellenic ways are beyond my area of expertise, but if that's what you're into, you could always try checking out Hellenismos, the pre-Christian Hellenic religion. Now I must say if going there, Solitary Wicca, magick and witchcraft are kind of incompatible with that path's methodology, and even scorned a brave bit. Being on a different path myself, I disagree a lot with what he says, but you may want to check out books by Timothy Jay Alexander like Beginner's Guide To Hellenismos(probably wouldn't freak your dad out as much either), or visit his website. Hellenic Polytheism&Reconstructionism is pretty scholarly, so they might be a little hard to follow if you're a teenager and only starting.

A Witch Alone would be my best recommendation though if it is pagan witchcraft that you're interested in, and then  I'd maybe look into sources for Greek myths&folk traditions. Being an Irish Witch&Polytheist, I just don't know that much about Hellenic witchcraft.
