I've been having alot of problems lately in general. My grades are poor, I can't find a job, I'm in financial binds, I have clinical depression that seems to be getting worse, I get anxiety attacks, I've lost some friends, I'm having trouble quitting my cigarette addiction, I'm having relationship issues, self-esteem issues, and some really bad jealousy issues. Lots of problems, right? All in all, I've had a pretty terrible year and I need a spell for the new year that might ease my worries, or help me in any way. I don't trust just going to websites and printing off something. I'd much rather hear something from a real person who has performed a spell like this or know something that will work, because I'm not very experienced in spells. I'm more of a fortune-teller, and my tarot cards aren't helping my problems any. And, even if you have some real world advice just to give me, not even a spell, that would be amazing. I sincerely appreciate any help what-so-ever.

Blessed Be,
Ixi Kore

Post Script: I would like to assure anyone that I am trying actual medical treatments and therapy for my depression and anxiety, and other actions to keep me from my smoking under control and such. I could just use some more advice because I feel abit lost and without many people to talk to.

My first thing was to suggest what you're already doing for the psych issues. I've been doing that now for most of my life, and I know how there are always ups and downs with treatment, so just hang in with the program so to speak.

As for the cigarettes. IMO, with all the other stuff you've got going on now is not the time to try to quit. You really are best suited to succeed with that when you are coming at it from a place of strength. Or as was my case the second time I quit, lack of money and just coming to be disgusted by the cigarettes over time.

It was a long process of having them when the money was there, doing without when it wasn't, and over time just developing a distaste for the cigarettes. The first time I did it 13 or so years earlier was from a place of strength though. And had I not decided to try to have the occasional cigar and allowed that to creep up on me I never would have been back on cigarettes. So, you can do it, but if it's not the right time for you it just isn't going to work anyway. It just seems to me you've got too much other stuff going on right now.

BTW, chantix can cause depression--even suicidal depression. If that's what you're trying I strongly suggest you discuss getting off it with your doc! I had the help of Wellbutrin my second time around. Not only is it an anti-depressant, but it does help curb the desire for tobacco! Smiley

As for the money/job and grades, I think I would do one spell to help you find a job. (Use the forum's search option. I'm sure you'll find one already posted.) And some other sort of spell for aiding your studying for the grades. (There may or may not be one of those already posted.)

I'd also like to draw attention to the fact that we are only to post spells on one particular board in this forum, and this is not it. So anyone coming in here with a specific spell to help I suggest you post it on the appropriate board and redirect the OP to that post.

Have you tried exercise? With Depression, important chemicals in your brain are out of balance, and the winter months only seem to make it worse with the lack of sunshine. Exercise seems to counteract that to a degree. It doesn't take much, just 20-30 minutes a day, and it could help relax you to focus better on your schoolwork. Smiley Try looking at  your local library for some DVDs on yoga or maybe Pilates. They have some meditative aspects about them that could help you as well.

As for the job search, the market just sucks right now. Sad I assume you're enrolled in college? If so, see if they offer a work study program of some sort. They typically don't offer a lot of hours during the week, but it would at least be something. Smiley

With the ciggies, I'm going to have to differ to what TW already said. I've never smoked an actual cigarette in my life.

Last, but not least, try praying to the Goddess. Every night before bed I thank her for all the important things and little "miracles", ask her to bless my family and friends, and for any help and insight she can give me regarding any current problems. It relaxes me so much, and I usually sleep pretty good through the night afterwards. Tongue
