Sylphs

I have always had the belief in guardian angels who protect or guide humanity. I've also believed in beings who wish to cause pain for amusement. Both guardian angels and demons are not totally evil or totally good, but they do as they feel like doing upon humans. They may do these things for a number of reasons: respect, love, hatred, sorrow, pity, and most commonly attention. I believe these beings are similar to spirits, who do many of the same things, but are different because they were never human. I don't where they come from, whether they were born here or the Otherworld or Summerland, but I know they exist and I believe they may be Sylphs. How? I was born with a psychic gift that passed down to me from my father. When I was little I could never see the spirits my dad could, I could only see and sense these beings. When I was around six years old (give or take a few years) my twin brother and I simply looked out the window. What we saw was simply amazing, in clouds were the shape of tons of human-like figures. Most of them were faceless beings, sitting in what looked like pews. The others, however, were extremely detailed. The detailed ones seemed to be men dressed in eighteenth century clothes, and one kept changing into different people. He was George Washington like character, and then all of the sudden he was man with an eye-patch who reminded me of captain hook at the time. I wasn't sure if my twin brother was seeing this too, when I asked him he said he saw it too. He was describing the exact same things as I was. Now, in my teenage years, I don't see such things anymore, but I do occasionally sense them. Who are these magnificent beings? I've simply been calling them Sylphs, but I want to ask you guys?
