mugwort causing twisted freaky dreams???

knowing mugwort's properties, is it normal for it to cause my subconscious to suddenly start making me have intense nightmares?

this is the second night in a row.... and this hasn't happened before after I placed mugwort under my pillow.

Mugwort (to an extent) is a mind altering drug. If you're using enough or it simply has a strong enough scent it can be affecting you. (It's akin to being affected by inhaling an essential oil.) To the best of my knowledge this is not a common occurrence, but as with any drug (Yes, herbs are essentially natural drugs.) it can affect different people differently. I'd suggest simply trying to sleep without it. If you have the same reaction it's probably not the mugwort. If you don't, try using it again the following night to see if the nightmares return.
