A while back I had heard that 90% of the books are bought by 6% of the people.  So out of curiosity how many books do you have now? I am going to request this in stacked feet because I do NOT want to count all of them! I think we are most of that 6%

I have currently about 60 stacked feet .

About 85 ft. of shelves, crammed, with books lying on top of other books, lying on tables and even stacked on the floor. Includes magazines in folding cardboard magazine holders.

Not all about Witchcraft and Magic, by any means; maybe half altogether, but that doesn't include history, psychology, comparative religion, archaeology, fringe science and UFO's. Also lots on industrial archaeology, Victorian engineering, old tools, railways, canals, ships, and vernacular architecture.

And a few novels; SF and mysteries mostly; Ian Rankin, Peter Robinson, Carl Hiaasen, Tom Robbins.

Amateur (or even professional) psychologists on the forum; make of that lot what you will.

Not nearly enough for my tastes, but we use the library A LOT.  As in- we go at least once a week to exchange books.   We just sold a ton of our books since we're moving, I think we maybe have only 10-15 feet or so.  Hard to tell when they're in boxes.   Tongue

We have a good stack of role playing books, wicca/pagan, archaeology, poetry, childrens, sewing/knitting, and then some fiction too- my husband has quite a few 007 & star wars books, I have a lot of fantasy (LOTR, Mists of Avalon, etc).

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen[smile].
Well, I actually got out the 12' tape measure and measured....I have 157 stacked feet...and a few inches more. And growing, all the time, of course.

We just moved 3 yrs ago and we passed most of books and magazines on to other owners but currently we have about 10 feet of books (about 50% diy and 50% spiritual references of all sorts). Magazines are at about 3' with a mix of Mothr Earth News, fine woodworking and various gardening rags.
BTW the new place has plenty of room for book shelves. Lol

I have a 700 sq. ft. house.  It is filled with books, instruments and electronics.

Lots and lots of books.  Plus my Kindle has over 600 books on it.

I have 31 1/2 ft. + feet of cookbooks I bought at an estate sale and have stashed in the attic. I also have a couple more feet or so of books I either have recently sold or have for sale so I can replace them on my Kindle.

Around 44 stacked feet.

295 books on my shelves in the house, the rest out in the garage in boxes. I rotate them every so often. I probably have another 200 books between kindle and pdf. versions.

We have books everywhere.  Conservatively I would say 80 - 90 ft, counting the books in storage.

Though the only books that are read on a regular basis are "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" and "How do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight?".

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.
Hmmm...looks might you may be onto something thinking that people like us are those that compose that 6% that buy 90% of the books, Ken Ra[smile].

Not to mention ignorant. I can't fathom being proud of not having done something to expand my intellect since high school!
