How many of you here, that don't use divination, see and hear and smell, otherworldly energies?
(I know, DON'T USE DIVINATION!?) I was just wondering how many have ESP without trying.
For example: whe I was around 6, my family moved into these new apts in north Texas.we had bunkbeds that my sister and I shared. (she was older, so she got top bunk) but she asked me to climb up and look at something.
So up I went. Her fingers were pointed to the ceiling. (little background, it's all acoustic just sprayed on ceiling)
What I saw, amazed me.. I didn't feel frightened. From the edge of the wall, on the ceiling going in the direction of the doorway, were perfect footprints.
The next day, I found the "cold spot" in our room. My sister felt it, but did not smell it. (it was an awful stinch) . And as soon as you moved out of the cold spot, smell was gone, and temp back to normal.
I can't make night or day of any of it.
And these things are just common around me. Some friends suggested that when I had a heart attack (or ome thing to do with my heart, was only 4-5) that something attached itself to me, and draws other worldly energies around it too.
Now don't get me wrong, some feel very dark, but others, just as playful as a child.
And I don't even know if that's what it is, cause even before that I saw unexplainable things...
Soo, do you need to use tools, or do you come by it naturally?
Blessings

I started out with some perceptions, mostly finding things I wanted ages 4-17. I learned divination without books and it developed my abilities. So did magic and making magical tools. I rarely use regular divination any more looking inside myself to find out what I need to know is easier. All it took was practice, practice and more practice.

Ken, what is the most frequent thing that you come into contact with, without using divination?
And all those who post after, if you don't use divination, I'd like to know, only if your comfortable, what you see, hear, feel, etc.....the most?
I have 2. I see things... All sorta of things. And some people, I know are going to scratch their head and say schitzophrentic?.. No, doc's ruled that out. And the second one is I feel them. They tug my hair, or bump into me, or press down on me...
I can hear, but only on occasion. And a lot of it is a male voice calling my name. ( since I was wearing tot sized clothes.)
I appreciate all the feedback. And thanks Ken, for responding.
Blessed Be

Well, I am still quite happy to use divination but just haven't felt the need for so long that I really haven't in I don't know how long. But I had things going on before I ever started using divination too. Nothing real signifigant, but one thing that happened when I was a kid was I was at my grandmother's house just kind of wandering around. I went into this room that I knew nobody really used. It was partitioned off by some drapes across the doorway (a Victorian era type of thing). Once I went in I could clearly see that it was a bedroom set up as if someone did use it. But I knew nobody did. So I asked myself whose room it was and had this vision of an androgynous, smooth-skinned face. A few months later I was looking at my parents' wedding pictures and saw the same face! In the pic it was definitely and elderly man, but it was the same face! I got so excited and asked my mom who it was. It was her father. (He died 4 years before I was born. I never knew him.) I then found out that the room I had been in was my grandparents' bedroom and that Grandma had only started sleeping in the other room after he died.
A couple other things that should take little time to explain...
Way back when McDonalds would hand out scratch off cards so you could win something if you scratched off like the right 3 circles. I would see a letter y in the circles sometimes, and those are the ones I scratched off. When I was absolutely certain I had seen that letter y before I scratched I never lost! It was never a big prize, but to a young kid (I think I might have been 12) it seemed a big deal.
Also, I lived on 1 1/2 acres of land and would hit golf balls as far as I could just for fun. I'd then go to "the back 40" to look for them, and when I couldn't find them I would close my eyes, lean over and just kinda feel a "pull" in the proper direction. Often when I stopped and opened my eyes the ball would be lying at my feet.
And this one is going to seem really far fetched, but it's absolutely true. When I was 8 I would ride my bike down the country road I lived on and gaze into the ditch next to the road as I rode. It would kind of get me in a meditative state. (I didn't know how I did this or that that was part of it until I was an adult.) But once I was in that state I could "will" something to happen simply by setting my mind to it and making the statement that it would happen. Of course, that was never big stuff either, but how big of things could an 8 year old want? LOL The thing is that when I did it, whatever it was (the one I remember best is willing that my dad would take the family out to dinner that evening) I got it much more often than I didn't. That's when I first began to believe in magick.
I made the mistake of confiding my newly found ability to my mom who majorly freaked on me shrieking that there is no such thing as magick. That was so shocking that it took me 2 years before I decided she really had been wrong. (She scared me so badly about it that I was no longer able to do it after that.) Anyway, that resulted in me waiting until I was 12 so I could have access to the adult section at the library trying to find info on magick. At the time the best I could do was find books on "psychical research". At 21 a few synchronicities led me to Cunningham's Wicca for the Solitary.

Wow. Very intriguing. Like a divining rod for golf balls. ..
I couldn't/ can't think of something like somebody taking me out for dinner, but I can figure out who is calling, without looking at caller id.. And even before caller id. ..
Things in pictures, it's only easy to believe if your the one who got em developed.... But some people remain skeptical on the photo thing. (damn you photoshop!)
I have a pic I took with my phone at my friends grave some years back. An anomaly showed up in it. The reason I took my pic out, was because I had layed down on a blanket and was talking to her, staring up at the sky. I started seeing very weird glitter sparkly golden things in the air above me, so I grabbed my phone and snapped the shot. Can see it plain as day, even though, whatever it is is down at the bottom right.
Thank you for haring, TW.

Well...it's not really just golf balls. I used to have a friend of many years who I had met online. We lived in separate states and although we never met in person we talked on the phone daily. She'd often come to me when she couldn't find something. I'd be able to "hone in on" the item and give her a description of what I saw around it. Sometimes she'd recognize the description and go get it. Other times it would turn up later, and what do you know? The description I gave had fit perfectly with where it was! She just hadn't been able to recognize it from my description until she actually saw where it was! LOL

I see! Did it freak her out? How do you get looked at when "strange" occurances like that happen? And if so, how do you handle it? I just wink and say bibity bobity boo. (just to mess with some people.)
I have a weird quality that's similar...I will give you a for instance, cause this is an every single day thing.
I find lost things.
In fact, on my memorial stone, they are going to engrave "finder of lost things" it's so weird too.
my son sees the dead, or used to, at least. He used to talk to and about this "white haired lady" I asked him if she was young or old, and he replied"like mima" (at least 65) then.
He hates paranormal movies and tv shows "cause mama, that really does happen!" poor kid.

No, it didn't freak her out. She'd come to me and ask me to do it. She was a witch too.
I don't generally let on to people unless we're already close and then they aren't entirely surprised because they know me anyway.
Until a time when I was an adult I was so empathic that I grew up thinking everybody had that ability. I didn't know it was anything unusual. I just thought there was some weird rule of etiquette that I hadn't been informed of that you don't let on you know what others are feeling. So when I broke "that rule", and told someone "I know you feel..." that would freak them out! LOL

I know when a friend is in trouble or when someone is planing trouble. I make a magical tool for someone and its like I get a dossier on them. I pick up an object and if it is charged somehow, I know chunks about it and its owner. If I shuffle someones tarot deck with intent it may take them a month to get me out of it. I have a strong mechanical empathy I once walked by a coke machine and it dropped six cans at my feet without my touching it, weird. I might be crazy but this is my normal......

What do you mean by "chunks"? ... Like pieces of off the wall random information?
And the coke machine thing is kick butt!

I don't use divination but I've had a few strange experiences. I have a tendency to feel that strange sense of "someone is watching me" or paranoia right before something happens, like a family fight, or some other news that I don't want to hear. I play guitar as well, and spend a lot of time writing and recording music. I wrote a song on November 2nd 2007 about a fictional character dying in a car accident. My father was killed in a car crash on November 2nd 2008. Most would deem that a coincidence but I've always felt like there was more to it. I've also had several instances where I just knew something was about to happen. To be more specific, I could finish peoples statements or say what they were thinking about saying.
As far as spirits go, I've heard voices or breathing sounds from behind me. I had a experience once where I felt an energy pass through me and another where I felt like something jumped on the bed with me.

I've experienced what "some" people call "old hag syndrome" and others call "sleep paralysis"
(but during the occurances, words, not human, not understandable happened to me.we're spoken to me, I went to doc and did a sleep study.
After all was said and done, he said I basically had an over active imagination. ( and sleep apnea)
Has anyone here experienced old hag syndrome? ( and been spoken to?)
Feel free to answer any of the questions I ask...
I'm putting myself under the scrutiny of doctors who think I'm "making it up" , trying to get attention.
What they don't know is that I've kept old hag secret.... And now you all are the only ones who know about it, cause it embarrasses me.
Blessings

I've experienced both at some point. When I felt is was the old hag syndrome I didn't see any old hag, but I definitely felt as if someone were holding me down (I was even able to lift my head but nothing else). I also just "felt" there was someone there. So I think that probably qualifies more as old hag syndrome than sleep paralysis which I've also experienced. The sleep paralysis is more of just being awake and unable to move. It's possible for that to work you into a panic, but once you realize what's going on (and don't sense any kind of presence or anyone holding you down) it's not so scarey. I've actually been able to just calmly wait that out. The old hag thing is quite another ball of wax though.

When it happened to me the first time, I was able to struggle and get my hand free to pick up phone to call my roommate in different room.(trying to call her for help, my hand got "snatched" back and the phone fell on the floor. The episode lasted about 2 minutes.. But I was scared enough to call my mom and cry, scared witless. Ugh.
