You all may have a few stories about ghosts but I have more then most. I live near a graveyard. Sometimes I wish I didn't and sometimes I'm glad I do. If you want to hear real life experiences of or have questions about anything ghost related please feel free to email me:

I have an experience I would like to share with you. My daughter (4 + half) was very sick and was rushed to hospital, I had been there to visit her and was told that she had come through the crisis and was sleeping fine. We returned home for dinner and was sitting in front of our fire when the room went cold, and on looking up I saw my daughter by the door smiling at me. I went hysterical and when we phoned the hospital we were told she had just passed at the time I had seen her! I have seen her numerous times since then normally when someone has passed, or when I need some big group hugs etc. There is no fear in her visits and she leaves with a feeling of unbelievable love. She is like our real angel on earth! I have seen plenty ghosts, but this one is special, and we have tried to let her know she needs to go on as there must be things she has to do etc. but for years she would pop-up. It has been now 20 years since we saw her last, but she introduced us to another angel almost as though she was handing over the reins of protection to someone she could trust.
Blessing to you all!

That would be so horrible if my child passed on. Not that I have kids, I'm just putting myself in the person's shoes.

It was, I was devastated for some time, but time heals to a certain degree, and you also realize that there is no going back so you have to live for the other children and each other. Our "Angel" visits from time to time, so she is still around - just in another form!

hello all
MY ghost story is one that happend to me after my very best Friend of 8 years passed away
let me give u some history she was beautiful red head her name was Kelly my one and only true friend Thru high school and college like most people she was riddle d with problems she was bipolar and always on meds and she simply relied on me to help Thru her Tuff times.
since she has been OK for while our lives went on she met a boy who broke her heart and i couldn't help her thru this one plus I had given her the news that i was pregnant and she was gonna be an auntie of twins more like a godmother still this new was not good enough to pull her thru or maybe she thought her time was over.
of course because of all the lore I couldn't say my good bye properly to her when she past
all I could do is feel emptyand a very sad as we
were driving to her funeral to bury her I heard her voice say "I will be here for you"
I quickly turned around and looked at my fiance at the time and thought that he had said that faintly cause he was next to me but as we were walking to the site where we were to bury her I again heard the same voice
this really creeped me out and I suddenly just turned around and answered back I know
months past and now things are happening in my house the babies were born I was busy with things,
suddenly things were being moved after I placed them in a diffrent area
I would leave a pot and pan in the dish drain (cause i was tired from the twins) and they would be moved to the stove like to be ready to be used , after a while i used to get the fragrance of her perfume around the house especially in the babies room , so I one day just decided to talk to her
tell her that she was always welcome here to watch over her god children and that i loved her very much.and that i forgave her that she should be able to move on but every now and again she visit just to make sure I know shes around and the twins well they used to tell me they were talking to their make believe buddy while at tea time and every once in while I feel a hand on my shoulder
all this assure me that we a never completely gone or allone
thank you for listening

I have an experience. It's not all that creepy though.
At my mothers current home there is a spirit that likes things open.
My room was in the basement and everytime I would go to my room the door was open. I know I closed the door and I even checked the latch and hinges a couple of times to try and explain why the door kept opening. I even watched it open one time. Also the kitchen cabinets were open all the time. I haven't seen this happen since I moved out of there. It doesn't happen when I go to visit. I used to joke aroung saying "I have a pet ghost." Every time I would come upstairs and shut the door it would open not long after. people would see this and be startled. They would be like "who else is down there?" I would say "Oh, it's just our ghost" and laugh at them.
I know exactly how you feel! About last April, pretty weird things started happening in my room and just became more and more noticeable, and started occuring more often. So now, we, (my friends and I), refer to this spirit as Ghostie.
He has a particular liking for feet, however odd that sounds. He's stepped on my friend's heels before, and poked me in the toe. But, he also seems to like my friend Kathryn more than most of my other friends. We're not sure why, but things always happen when she's around.
One time when Kathryn was over, it was like, ten thirty at night and we were in my room watching Rock 'n' Roll High School. Kathryn was sitting on the floor, and I was sitting on the bed. Suddenly, she jumped and started freaking out. She told me that someone just brushed past her arm, though no one was in the room but us. It was pretty funny. Now we're all used to the happenings. =D

Boring is an inappropriate statement for your stories, extremely interesting would be more like it. Looking forward to more stories

During my child hood i remember being visited by spirits all the time, up until i was about 12 or 13 it was quite frequent. Once i had my twelth birthday though it was as if all sorts of bad entities had suddenly figured out that i could comunicate with "the other side" it seemd as though it turned in to a curse. life was rather rough for me for the next few years that is until my grandfather passed on, when had passed it was hard to deal with. after he had passed i stayed o the farm for more than two weeks alone, during which time the intensity in my paronormal perception shot through the roof. i was experiencing such things as dissapearing furniture, being touched, scratched, screamed at, actual full body appirations would appear too me telling such things as, my first born would be slaughterd infront of me, my grandfathers death was my fault. then one day i was out in the feild working on our old tractor when my grandfather appeared to me and told me that everything would be fine and that things will start to make more since when i am older. he also told me i needed to find a woman whose name i will keep to my self, he told she would help protect my spirit, he also warned me that if i didnt seek this women eventually i would have some rather serious problems to deal with. ever since that women and i crossed our paths i have since become more at peace with my ability and realize that only i control my life, since then the worst of the antities have left me alone, but every now and agian i get a rogue demon or pultrigist, knocking in my head tryin to find a way in but the always run with tails tucked.

I've also had several experiences with ghosts... though I don't think any of them have been negative or dangerous. I found out recently that this has been going on pretty much my whole life... my grandmother told me last year that when I was very young that I asked her "who is that old man standing behind you?" which freaked her out as there was no one there. She then asked me to describe him and then went upstairs to her bedroom and showed me an old photograph (probably early 20th century) and asked me if that was him... I said yes, only the man I saw was older. It was her father, who had died in 1948 and was 70+ years old.. when she told me I got chills. The first of these experiences that I actually remember was when I was around 10-12 years old and was camping somewhere in spain. I'd left my torch behind and told my friends to go back to the tent without me, whilst I looked for it. On my way back I felt something go through me, it was freezing and I was just frozen in place and saw a knight (in shining armour - only not so shiny and see-through!) and he just kept on walking. I thought I was losing it until later on that night, a native to the area told us a story around the fire that during the retaking of Spain from the Moors, there was a castle/fortress nearby and I can't remember the actual story, but basically the knight was said to be roaming around looking for his love I suppose. I have a few a few more experiences as I live in an area with a very long and rich history and its pretty much a hotspot for paranormal activity, so much so that even the "non-believers" and the devout Christians have a great respect for it!

I have several stories.
First, my best friend's house is haunted by the clock maker who lived there before her family. They moved in when she was only like a year old and her mother had a clock that happened to have been made by this man (though she didn't realise it at the time.) It was broken but she put it on the mantle anyway and went to bed that night, waking up at an odd hour to the sound of hammering coming from the basement. (Where his workshop was.) The next morning she came downstairs and heard ticking from the living room. The clock was right where she left it, only it was working. She told the neighbours and one of them had a watch made by him, so my friend's mom put it on the mantle and it was fixed the next morning. I basically grew up in her house. I slept over all the time and I've never slept through the night. I would always wake up at odd hours, to the feeling of being watched. I would always look into the hall and see nothing, but I always knew he was there. It was never a threatening feeling, just unsettling. I always make sure to acknowledge him when I visit. He still watches over my friend and her family.
Second, my grandmother died when I was eight. When she was alive and a few years after, our basement was inhabitable and that's where she and my cousins lived. My bedroom was on the second floor (excluding the basement) and when I was between the ages of about 7-9 I recall laying in my dark bedroom, late one night and not being able to sleep, and then my grandmother came up and sat with me. My grandmother was very sick for about the last ten or so years of her life, but I know this happened. I told my mom about this experience a few years ago and she looked at me like I was crazy, because when my grandmother lived with us (we had to send her to this home which turned out to be an atrocity-we should have sued for neglect.) she wasn't able to really even move around the basement, let alone get up two flights of stairs. To this day I don't really know what to make of this. I remember it clearly, but it was impossible if she was still alive so I'm inclined to believe it was her spirit.
About two years ago I came home from school and my Mom told me she had been baking, and had opened a cabinet in the island separating our kitchen and family room for a bowl or something and found this small cash box containing my grandparents wedding and class rings, my grandfather's pocket watch, a couple skeleton keys, and a few other miscellaneous mementos. When my Dad came home she asked him where he found the box and why he put it in the cabinet. He went pale and told her he hadn't seen that box since before my Grandmother died. That was nine years prior. He thought his sister took it and hocked it like everything else. She definitely wanted us to find it.
And the most recent encounter I had happened in my dorm last year, my freshman year of college. Moving in, I knew one of the dorms was haunted, I had been told it was the one next to my building. Surprise! It wasn't. A girl committed suicide by jumping from the top floor (the 11th) and she landed on the little outcropping on the 3rd. My floor, but the opposite side. Every night we would hear the bathroom stall doors and the suite door slamming, and thought nothing of it until my friend (now boyfriend) told us about the girl. After hearing the story activity didn't increase for at least two weeks. Then one night I was trying to sleep, and I had the top bunk, and the beds are not terribly sturdy, so I could feel when my roommate turned in her sleep. I woke up from my half asleep state because it felt like someone grabbed the bed frame and shook it hard. It freaked me out.
Towards the end of the year both of my roommates (I was in a forced triple) moved out and I was alone. I had started staying with my boyfriend every night because it was way too creepy in my room. Even if he was there with me. It wasn't intimidating during the day, until I went to shower and I put the basket containing my shower stuff on the handicap railing. I did this all year, so I knew if I placed it wrong or if my stuff wasn't equally distributed it would fall. In the middle of my shower my basket flew off the rail of it's own accord and landed a foot away from the wall. If it had simply fallen it would have landed right next to the wall. For the rest of the year I spent as little time in my room as possible.
A friend at the time told me about his experience in my building. During one of his years here he lived in the suite next to the one I was living in, and apparently one time his laptop flew across the room.
My boyfriend's current roommate lived on the same floor and when he and his roommate/suitemates would go out his posters had a habit of turning upside down.
Sorry for the obscenely long post. XD

Firstly, hello Polly! Long time no see - welcome back! Yes, I have experienced all that you have described. I have, with friends and family done many clearings and rescues, each one is precious and unique. I love the work and it leaves one with a sense of joy seeing them going through the light.
Blessings!

My grandparents lived in Chicago and had an alley in back of their house where people placed their garbage for pick up. One day my grandparents were driving down the alley to get to their garage and saw a gorgeous new looking leather reclining chair. My grandfather always wanted one, so he looked it over and then took it home.
Nothing seemed out of the ordinary for a couple weeks, but then my grandmother noticed that sometimes the chair would rock on it's own. Eventually, she started seeing what was making the chair rock. There was a little elderly man in the chair just rocking gently and napping. She wasn't bothered by it, and actually enjoyed having some company around while my grandfather was away at work.
One day my grandmother decided to tell my gramp about the old man. He said it was nonsense, he didn't see any old man and there was nothing wrong with his chair!
The way my grandparents house was set up, you could see the living room from the kitchen table where they ate. My grandfather sat facing the living room and my grandmother sat opposite him. The night after my grandmother came clean about her invisible friend they were eatting dinner as usual. My grandmother was chatting about something and noticed that my grandfather was very silent, his face was pale, his mouth hung open. She asked him what was wrong, but he wouldn't answer.
That night my grandfather took his chair and dumped it in the back alley. He never would admit he saw the old ghost man. It's been 40 years and my grandmother still tells this story and ends with... "I miss that old guy. He was just napping in the chair, he wasn't hurting anyone".

So the chair and the little old sleeping man went to another home to bring comfort and warmth. Pity your grandmother never found out who it was....

Actually your right Suzie! I don't know if the new family enjoyed the chair or not, but it was gone from the alley again before the trash men came. Someone else adopted the chair and it's occupant.

Just another thought maybe the chair and the little old man were suppose to go to where they went? The mind boggles!
