About 7 months ago I bought myself a little sewing machine & cabinet from Goodwill for about $10. Purchased it for the cabinet- I wanted to put my current machine in it, but after getting it home and futzing (yes, thats a word) around with it, it was not going to work out. So, I figured it would just make a nice table. Now that were moving I decided it was time to go- I was going to sell it.
When I purchased it, the machine was in rough shape. She's around 50 years old, and was covered in a thick layer of dirt and dust and grime. She had once been a nice off white, with a pink faceplate, but there was so much dirt that it looked like she'd never even been wiped down.
There was thread all tangled up in her, like someone didn't know how to thread her properly. The bobbin was so old (possibly original) that when I tried sewing with it, it snapped.
I've wiped her down, cleaned out all the lint, and replaced the bobbin. After adjusting the tension knobs, she sews like a dream! I now have a pink vintage sewing machine! *squeal*

Seeing a picture of my oldest little brother trying to steal some cake from my littlest brother. And getting him caught on film playfully poking oldest little brother in head with his baby fork. He was about 2.
