i live in the boonies of northern tennessee deep in the bible belt. without sites such as this i would have no sense of the pagan community. all of my friends and family are baptist and i appreciate their support but theres nothing like your own.

hi everyone, my user name here is welshpriestess. I chose it because that is what I am. I have been a witch for over 40 years. I came to it through my father who was native american. He taught me many things about nature and the native belief. I sort of went on from there to study with a coven. Back then we were all witches, no wiccans really. And everything was done in a very secretive way. I trained with the coven for the traditional year and day then was initiated. I am now trained in both the Celtic and the Faery Traditions. I have had several training covens but mostly practice on my own. I have been a witch for all of my life basically. Before I trained, I just learned from my father and the natural world around me.

Merry Meet!
My boyfriend introduced me to witchway a couple days ago and i finally set up my account yesterday.

The user name here is my actual magickal name. I chose Lialac originally because it is my favorite flower, the purple (fav. color) Lilac represents the first emotions of love, and i thought it was rather poetic. I changed the spelling of Lilac to Lialac so my magickal name would fit me numerologically. I chose Lynx as the second part of my name because in greek mythology the lynx is the keeper of hidden knowledge, i thought it was fitting because the pagan community were "hidden in the shadows" for so many years. I started studing wicca when i was 12 or 13, (im now a month from 21!)but i didn't start putting my heart into it until i was almost 17. at first it was just a topic i was interested in reading about but now i try to practice and study it as much as possible. I dont really follow one tradition, im more of an eclectic witch, which just means i gather my information from numerous sources. However, i mostly follow the Hecate and Garderian traditions, but agian im open to learning new things!

Hello everyone, and blessings to all. I have read and studied the Pagan path since the age of 13, i tried for years to be a good Christian, even worked as a chaplain at one point. The calling of my ancestors was quite strong however. A few years back I came out of the closet so to speak, my poor Scottish mother must have mentioned every saint in one breath, LOL. The name Bishee comes from a friend of mine who is a full blooded Crow Indian. I wanted a dedication name that truly described me and John and I have been friends since third grade so who better to describe me than him. He said i was like the buffalo, strong and serine, though when cornered i fought with an untamed ferocity. The name, "Bishee" is Crow Indian for Buffalo and is now my Spirit name.
I found this forum a few months back and i am hooked. It is by far the best information ive seen in a forum of this nature. Thanks and love to you all.

Witchway is important to me because although I'm a Solitary Eclectic (and I like it that way), I don't want to be a hermit.  The community I live in has either NO Pagan peoples, or they are very good at hiding.  So I'm in this whole learning thing on my own.  This site gives me a way to talk, ask questions, ask for opinions, and read other Pagan's thoughts on all kinds of topics.

Hi everyone. I am pegasusangel. I have been dealing with magick since I was a kid since my mother's side of the family has always used different forms of magick and herbal healing. But, I seriously started studying about 8 years ago I guess. I found this site quite by accident one day while searching for a place to find tools for rituals and spells. I joined and instantly loved not only the site, but the people that use it. It was and is so nice to have so many people who not only know about my choice of being wiccan, but also are so friendly and helpful. I lost my account for about 2 years, and just this week was able to get it back, again thanks Sprite, you are a true gift! I am a very strong empath and prefer to deal mostly with spiritual things and healing. I love to just talk and get to know a little about everything...lol. That usually means I may not know everything about anything, but I know a little something about everything...ha ha. I  was a solitary wiccan for a long time since my grandma passed away and my mother turned away from the wiccan way to the christian way. Which she is very happy with, and I support her choice as hers to make. She is still very open with me, and has me read her cards all the time...lol. My name means a lot to me for the fact that my grandma always called me her little pegasus or her little angel, even calling me her pegasusangel. So, when I had to choose a magick name, that is the one I chose. It brings her closer to me and I rely so much on her teachings and guidances still to this day. My husband has also chosen wicca and we are very intune with each other. I respect my mother earth and all of her lovely creations. I am a pure at heart, and kind hearted person and try always to treat others with the utmost respect and caring. We are all children of the Goddess and we all deserve to be loved as such. I am a very openminded person, and I love to hear all aspects of other ways of life. I am not the "I'm right, you are wrong" kind of person at all. That is just not me. Hope this helps shed a litle insight to me!!

 Hello, my name is starfire. I have a lot to learn about the craft. I was introduced to the craft 3 and a half years ago and have been solitary ever since. I have intrests in the fae folk and i belive with the proper teacher, i could aspire to become a top rate healer. I ask you to teach me the ways of healing as i have just opened my eyes to the world of wicca.
